Herbs To Boost Hair Growth

A better knowledge of some of the fundamental herbs that help hair grow and maintain will ensure that you have healthier hair and can enjoy it for longer. The following herbs are known for their good effect.

Take herb

Boil Neem leaves ( herb comes from the Indian Neem tree ) in about a cup of water and let it cool. Neem leaves come from the mahogany tree family and are most commonly found in India, but luckily these leaves are also for sale in the Netherlands. After the mixture cools, remove the leaves from the mixture using a strainer and rinse the hair with this Ayurvedic remedy to prevent hair thinning or hair loss caused by alopecia.

Lavender

Lavender has long been used to calm nerves and is a popular fragrance in soaps, shampoos, and other body products. Lavender leaves or essential oils can help maintain healthy hair or hair that is thinning due to medical conditions, including alopecia. You can pour a few drops of lavender oil into the palms of your hands and then massage through the hair, but be sure to hit the roots near the scalp.

Saw palmetto

Saw palmetto is a traditional treatment for prostate cancer in men. According to research published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology , this herb may also combat hair loss as it prevents compounds that help prevent the formation of dihydrotestosterone (DHT) from the hormone testosterone.

DHT can contribute to male pattern baldness as well as prostate enlargement. The berries are the main parts of the saw palmetto used, and also have antioxidant properties. Saw palmetto is taken as capsules, tablets, or in dried form, for example as a tea.

Red pepper

A red pepper contains more vitamin C than a cup of orange juice, which is something many people would not expect. Eat the pepper raw as cooking destroys some of the nutrients. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that improves the circulation of the scalp and thus stimulates hair growth.
